11,500 member Cheltenham Facebook group needs a new home

As we wind down our community response to the COVID-19 pandemic we are looking to find a new home for the COVID-19 Cheltenham Community Network - a Facebook group with over 11,500 members.

Set up in the early days of the pandemic as a community portal and information exchange the social media platform has helped hundreds of people.

Cheltenham Guardians operations director Terry Howard said: "The group has served the community well and hopefully will continue to do so. As Cheltenham Guardians refocuses on preparing for our core mission in the night time economy we will not be able to give the group the attention that it deserves. If we are unable to find new owners by the 15th of June we'll archive it rather than delete it. Ideally the new owners will be an existing community group that would benefit from such a platform. I want to ensure the group is put to good community use."

If taking ownership of the group is of any interest to you or your organisation please contact covid19support@cheltenhamguardians.org.
